Support and participation

Three ways to grow with the network

Each tier builds on the one before it. See what La Fresca offers and what your business commits to in return.

Tier 1

Start with a connection

Build a presence in the network and take part in community events.

What you receive

Included support

  • A feature on La Fresca’s website and an introduction on our social media.
  • Resharing your business’s social posts.
  • Inclusion in the network brochure and a participating-business storefront sticker.
  • Event and promotional opportunities through a rotating random drawing for Tiers 1 and 2.
  • Public resource links and referrals to people who can help.
  • Network brochures to share at your business.

Your commitment

Your part

  • Share and like La Fresca’s social media posts.
  • Attend at least one La Fresca event.
Tier 2

Take a more active part

Expand your business connections and contribute to the network throughout the year.

What you receive

Everything in Tier 1, plus

  • A link to your menu, products, or services.
  • Your business cards shared at events.
  • Event and promotional opportunities through a rotating random drawing for Tiers 1 and 2.
  • Resource connections and research into promotional opportunities.
  • Workshops about funding opportunities and grant resources.

Your commitment

Tier 1 requirements, plus

  • Keep La Fresca flyers visible at your business.
  • Attend one Monday meeting each year.
Tier 3

Grow through shared commitment

Participate regularly, strengthen relationships, and explore additional support as it becomes available.

What you receive

Everything in Tier 2, plus

  • Additional invitations to participate in La Fresca events.
  • Connections with partner organizations.
  • Planned pilot: Pocket Navigator, a bilingual AI helper in Telegram for marketing questions and drafting posts.
  • Planned: camera borrowing and a monthly newsletter.
  • Opportunities for La Fresca to purchase food from participating food businesses for its events.

Your commitment

Earlier commitments, with these requirements

  • Distribute La Fresca flyers at your business.
  • Attend two Monday meetings per year in total, replacing the one meeting in Tier 2.
  • Attend at least three promotional events offered by La Fresca each year.
  • When equipment borrowing becomes available, complete the rental agreement and follow-up survey.

Tiers 1 and 2: once selected, a business is left out of the drawing until all businesses in the rotation have been selected. Then a new round begins.

Across all tiers, we work together with honesty, respect, and care for the community. The participation agreement explains our shared responsibilities.

Planned services are not yet available. Event space and purchases depend on event needs and capacity; purchases are not guaranteed.

Tier 3 · Planned pilot

Marketing support through Telegram

Pocket Navigator is a planned AI assistant that you would use through Telegram, a messaging app. It is designed to help you understand marketing concepts and draft posts in English or Spanish using information about your business.

For example, you could ask for help explaining a service or announcing an event. You review the information, adjust the wording, and decide what to publish.

We are preparing this pilot for Tier 3 businesses. It is not available yet.

A stronger local economy starts with the people already here

A customer introduction, a useful resource, a conversation with another owner. These connections help small businesses build stability and help our neighborhoods remain places where families can live, work, and thrive.

Our network grows through community trust. We ask participating businesses to share accurate information, treat people fairly, and follow through on their commitments. In return, La Fresca commits to clear communication and working with you.

A few questions before you join

Let’s make the support and expectations clear from the beginning.

Ask us a question
Is this only for food businesses?

No. La Fresca’s roots include local food businesses, and the network welcomes small businesses of different kinds. Tell us about your products, services, or business idea.

What does my tier commitment include?

The brochure pairs each tier’s support with its participation requirements. Tier 3 includes at least three promotional events and two Monday meetings per year in total, replacing Tier 2’s one meeting. Review the other commitments with La Fresca before choosing your option.

Is Pocket Navigator available now?

Not yet. We are preparing it as a Tier 3 pilot. It is a planned AI helper inside Telegram for marketing questions and drafting content in English or Spanish. Contact us to discuss your interest.

How are Tier 1 and 2 businesses chosen for opportunities?

Businesses in Tiers 1 and 2 are selected at random for events and promotional opportunities. Once chosen, a business is removed from the drawing until every business in the rotation has been selected. A new round then begins. Participation in a particular event is not guaranteed.

Are event spaces and purchases guaranteed?

No. Table space and any purchases for La Fresca events depend on availability, event needs, and capacity. We will discuss the details of each opportunity with you.

What if I am unsure about a commitment?

Talk with La Fresca before choosing a tier. We will review the brochure and agreement together so the support and responsibilities are clear. If your circumstances change, contact your Network Navigator to discuss next steps.
